Sand for Lawns

If your lawn needs aeration, this is the type of sand you should choose. Here, you get washed sand with a minimum of clay, making it the perfect product for when the soil has become too heavy. This sand can also be used if you want to make clay soil more airy and improve drainage. This helps to prevent or reduce standing water in the garden and enhances the growth conditions in garden beds.

How Much Sand Should Be Applied to the Lawn?

We recommend spreading 2-3 cm of washed sand over the entire area where you want to aerate the soil. The lawn will slowly "absorb" the sand and draw it into the soil, making it invisible within a relatively short period.

• 1 Maxi Bag with 1,000 kg covers approximately 25 m².
• 1 Maxi Bag with 1 m³ covers approximately 40 m².

The sand can also be used to level bumps and holes in the lawn, and its structure makes it incredibly easy to work with, as it does not clump together.

Delivery of Sand for Lawns

We can deliver lawn sand throughout the country in maxi bags, each holding up to 1 m³ (1,500 kg). We offer several different delivery methods to get the sand as close to the lawn as possible. You can choose between the following delivery options:

Sidewalk / Driveway Delivery

Your product is delivered at the start of your driveway or on the sidewalk. This delivery method is always included in the price, as long as you live in an area of Denmark with a fixed bridge connection.

Forklift Delivery

This delivery type is particularly suitable if you live in an area that is not accessible by our large trucks. This could be, for example, a summer house area, a garden association, or a cul-de-sac. Our forklifts require 2.5 meters in width and need a stable surface to drive on, as they can weigh up to 4.5 tons.

Crane Delivery

Crane delivery is great if your maxi bag needs to be lifted into a garden and over a fence or hedge. This option can save a lot of lifting work and make the process much easier.

Be aware that large crane trucks require ample space. There must be a clear height of 4.5 meters and a width of 4 meters all the way from the main road to the final delivery location. The crane truck can place a maxi bag 7-8 meters away from the truck.

Great Quantity Discounts

If you have a large lawn, you can quickly use 2 or more maxi bags. As soon as you add more than one big bag to the cart, a discount is automatically applied to the total purchase. This applies across all products, so it pays to consolidate your purchase. The more big bags you buy, the greater the discount.
