Growth clay 2000 litres (2 m³) in a bulk bag

For the really big landscaping projects, professional gardeners or those of you with a large property: 2000 litres of growth clay in an extra-large bulk bag. Here you get the maximum quantity at the best price per litre, tailored to jobs where large amounts of lightweight, draining material need to be moved.

Growth clay is indispensable when building green roofs, larger installations of gullies and drainage around buildings, and when replanting large trees and shrubs. Even though the volume is large, growth clay is an incredibly light material to work with compared to traditional stone and gravel. It spares your back and makes spreading it a breeze.

  • Perfect for: Larger landscaping projects, green roofs, extensive drainage work and commercial use

  • Volume: 2000 litres / 2.0 m³

  • Properties: Extremely weight-reducing, superior drainage effect and long-lasting quality

How much growth clay should I mix into the soil?

The amount of growth clay you should mix into the soil depends on your specific project and your plants' need for drainage and oxygen:

  • Ordinary garden beds and raised beds (10–20% growth clay): For standard soil improvement in the garden, a mix with 10 to 20% growth clay is ideal. It loosens heavy, compacted clay soil, improves air circulation around the roots and helps sandy soil retain moisture.

  • Pots, balcony boxes and planters (20–30% growth clay): In closed containers, the soil compacts more easily over time. A mix of 20 to 30% growth clay maintains a light and airy soil structure for several seasons.

  • Mediterranean plants, cacti and olive trees (30–50% growth clay): Plants that require extremely well-drained soil and are sensitive to standing water thrive best with up to 50% growth clay in the soil mix.

Practical rule of thumb:

If you are mixing a 100-litre batch of ready-to-use soil mix for your pots or raised beds, use 15–20 litres of growth clay and 80–85 litres of topsoil.

Tip: Remember that growth clay mixed into the soil improves its structure, but it does not replace a proper drainage layer. We always recommend placing a clean 3–5 cm layer of growth clay at the bottom of the pot or raised bed before adding the soil mix.

Flexible and easy delivery of growth clay – tailored to your needs

At Maxibag, we place great emphasis on you receiving your growth clay in the most practical way. We have built a flexible logistics system where you choose the solution that best suits your property and your project.

The placement of your bulk bag is crucial. Both to reduce the distance to the pots, beds or construction work, and so that the bag is not in the way if you are planning to use the contents over several rounds. Growth clay is a durable natural material that neither gets damaged nor loses its properties by standing outdoors in the bulk bag. You can therefore safely store any surplus growth clay in the bag and use it throughout the entire gardening season.

Growth clay is delivered in the following quantities:

Choose the delivery method that suits you best

Delivery to pavement or driveway

Your bulk bag is set down at the kerb, on the pavement or a little way into the driveway. Simply state your wishes in the comments field when ordering – the driver will then place the goods exactly as requested, without you needing to be at home.

Delivery by mobile forklift

One of our most popular solutions. The driver brings a special forklift with large pneumatic tyres that easily manoeuvres on challenging surfaces such as gravel, stones, crushed stone and soft roads. Ideal for allotment gardens, holiday home areas with narrow paths or long private gravel roads.

Delivery by crane

The ideal choice if your bulk bag needs to be lifted directly over a hedge, a fence or a wall. The lorry's crane places the growth clay precisely where you need it.

Hvorfor mugner plantejord?
Plantejord mugner decideret ikke, men det er vigtigt at jordforbedre eksisterende plantejorde hvert 2-3 år.
Hvad vejer 40 liter plantejord?
