AquaLight Gravel - Lightweight bedding material for paving
AquaLight Gravel is a lightweight alternative to traditional paving sand. It has the same good properties as a base for paving slabs and paving, but weighs only about 1/4 of ordinary paving sand – approx. 350 kg per m³. At the same time, AquaLight Gravel can absorb and retain water, because it is made from fired clay.
This variant contains 2000 litres of AquaLight Gravel (approx. 700 kg). AquaLight Gravel is also available in 1000 litres, 3000 litres and 4000 litres.
Benefits of AquaLight Gravel
- Weighs only approx. 350 kg per m³: AquaLight Gravel weighs around a quarter of ordinary paving sand. This makes it ideal where weight is a challenge – e.g. on roof terraces, balconies, floor decks and structures with limited load-bearing capacity. The low weight also makes the material easier to handle and spread.
- Absorbs water: Because AquaLight Gravel is made from fired clay, it can absorb water. This helps lead rainwater away from the surface and reduces the risk of puddles on the paving.
- Retains its load-bearing capacity: In ordinary paving sand, the clay can be washed out of the sand over time, so the base loses its load-bearing effect. This does not happen with AquaLight Gravel, which keeps its stability year after year.
- Same use as paving sand: AquaLight Gravel is laid and levelled like a traditional bedding layer under paving slabs, tiles and paving stones.
When should you choose AquaLight Gravel?
AquaLight Gravel is the obvious choice when you need to lay paving and weight is a challenge. This could be on roof terraces, balconies, canopies and floor decks, where a traditional build-up with paving sand becomes too heavy. The product is also an advantage where there is a lot of water, as it can absorb water and does not lose its load-bearing effect over time.
Delivery methods – flexible delivery tailored to your needs
It is important to us that your products are delivered exactly where you need them. That is why we offer three flexible delivery methods, so you can choose the solution that best suits your needs:
1. Delivery to pavement or driveway
This delivery method is the simplest and most cost-effective. We place your goods on the pavement or in your driveway, close to the road. This solution is ideal if you are able to move and spread the materials yourself. Delivery to pavement/driveway is always included in the price.
2. Truck delivery
With truck delivery, we can drive our specially equipped truck directly onto your property, where we place your Maxibags exactly where you want them. The truck is easy to manoeuvre and can navigate driveways or other areas where space is tight. This makes it easy for you to get the materials closer to your work area, saving you time and effort.
Our trucks are 2.5 metres wide and 2.8 metres high.
3. Crane delivery
With this delivery method, we can lift and place your bulk bags or goods over hedges, fences or other obstacles. This is an ideal solution if your materials need to be placed in a specific spot that ordinary delivery methods cannot reach.
The crane lorry can reach 6-8 metres with a Maxibag.
